Carbon emissions are rising in Wales and the government is not meeting its targets for carbon reduction according to a new report.
Environmental charity WWF Cymru has found that the Welsh Government has met targets in certain areas but not in others and is urging the government to do more to help Wales become a low carbon country.
A separate report from the UK Committee on Climate Change compiled using the most recent emissions data has found that carbon emissions have been reduced in Scotland and Northern Ireland but have increased in Wales.
In order for a country to reduce its carbon emissions, both individuals and businesses need to become more energy efficient. As well as reducing your business’ carbon footprint, organisations who are participants in the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme could reduce their spending within the scheme and many other companies could reduce their energy bills. Small changes can make a big difference, so contact Apollo Enviro to see how they could help your business become energy efficient and reduce your carbon footprint.
