CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme Consultation
Larger businesses and public sector organisations must get ready for a major shift in the way they manage their use of energy.
From April 2010 anyone with a half hourly meter will be required to register under the CRC Energy Efficiency scheme. Those using at least 6,000 MWh/year will have additional responsibilities. The scheme is self administering and the penalties for failing to comply, range from £25/tonne of CO2 to £70/tonne of CO2 in the later stages.
