Environmental Consultancy Services
With growing pressure being placed on businesses to become more environmentally friendly, now couldn’t be a better time to look into what environmental consultancy services are available – and how they could help your business.
Apollo Enviro offer a variety of environmental consultancy services to assist your business in its drive to meet environmental needs and reduce its carbon footprint.
How could my business benefit from environmental consultancy services?
Firstly, the less environmentally-friendly a business is, the more it could be forced to pay in carbon taxes (the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme, for example). So, bearing this in mind, one of the main benefits environmental consultancy services could offer your business is the opportunity to save money.
It’s not just about the money, though. By taking advantage of Apollo Enviro’s consultancy services, you’ll get the peace of mind that your business is ‘doing its bit’ to help protect the environment. This is something you should be proud of; with a growing number of companies publishing details to ‘show off’ their environmental protection efforts on their websites and communications.
What environmental consultancy services do Apollo Enviro offer?
Apollo Enviro offer a range of consultancy services designed to help your business improve its everyday efficiency and save money on its utilities.
Some of the services we offer include:
Carbon Footprint Audits
Do you know the extent of your business’ CO2 generation? A carbon footprint audit from Apollo Enviro can help you measure each contributory cause of CO2 within your business and work towards a solution to reduce them; in turn reducing your carbon footprint.

Environmental Awareness Workshops
While we can help reduce the environmental impact of your business and your energy costs through technical changes (the installation of energy-efficiency equipment, for example), the individuals in your business can help to do this through simple behaviour changes.
Switching the lights off, for example, or turning heating units down can, in the long-run, save a lot more than you might think.
Apollo Enviro offer a range of environmental awareness workshops designed to improve employee understanding and awareness of climate change issues – and the positive impact they can have as individuals.

Environmental Audits
To avoid unnecessary charges, it’s important to make sure your business is protected against current and future legislation. One way you can do this is by having an environmental audit conducted on your business.
Apollo Enviro can visit your site and provide you with a comprehensive assessment of the current state of your business and provide specific, tailored recommendations for areas where improvements could be made.

Management System Planning (ISO 14001 & ISO 50001)
Environmental Management and Energy Management systems can become integral parts of your business’ overall management system; used to manage the energy-environmental aspects of your company.
Both ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 accreditations show your clients and customers your on-going dedication to the sustainable development of your business, whilst also reducing your energy usage.
Apollo Enviro can help you work towards both accreditations; providing support and guidance where needed.

CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme Consultation
Since April 2010, any businesses with a half-hourly meter have been required to register under the CRC Energy Efficiency scheme. The scheme is self-administrating and the penalties for those companies failing to comply range from £25/tonne of CO2 to £70 a tonne of CO2 in the later stages.
Are you closely monitoring your energy usage? If not, Apollo Enviro can help you do this and help with energy reporting.
We can also audit your business and explore ways of lowering the volume of energy you use to minimise the cost of the scheme to your organisation.

London Stock Exchange Carbon Reduction Reporting
From April 6th 2013, companies listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) will be required to report their CO2 emissions.
Initially, around 1,600 out of the 2,549 firms on the LSE will be required to comply, with other large firms expected to follow suit in 2015.
