Committee on Climate Change awarded Carbon Trust Standard 11th August, 2011

The advisory body to the government on climate change matters has been awarded the Carbon Trust Standard after reducing emissions by 8% in two years.

The Committee on Climate Change has made changes to their business practices which allowed them to make considerable reductions on their CO2 emissions; to receive the Carbon Trust Standard certification, an organisation has to measure and manage their carbon emissions then commit to reducing them year on year.

The Committee on Climate Change introduced a number of measures to reduce their carbon footprint, including sending employees on environmental awareness workshops to encourage staff to reduce their energy use and implementing a travel policy.

Businesses of all sizes can benefit from reducing their carbon footprint and Apollo Enviro can help you and your organisation become energy efficient.
